About Us

The School - Nungua Senior High School - is the first secondary school established in Nungua. The idea of establishing the first secondary school in Nungua was conceived in the year 1958 by Nii Quaye Tawiah, popularly known as Quaye Nungua, a prominent businessman and a significant son of that town

The motto of the School is the Latin expression - Per Ardua Ad Alta which is translated in English simply as - Through Difficulties to the Heights or Through Difficulties to the Stars.

It is therefore symbolic that there are 5 stars in the School Crest. This motto implies that nothing GOOD comes EASY. It takes GREAT PAINS and EFFORTS to attain GREAT HEIGHTS.

The motto should thus inspire all students of this school to aspire for excellence and greatness.

Facilities

Computer Lab

Nungua Senior High School has a fully funished computer lab for use for its students. With a competent Computer teacher, students do not fall short in computer literacy.

Science Lab

As part of its mandate to produce quality student, Nungua school school has a science laboratory where student learn not only theory but do some practicals as well.

Serene Environment

In a serene environment, students can properly concentrate and focus on their books and education. Secure environment is also assured.

Food & Nutrition Class

Nunsec has a facility specially design for the study of food and nutrition including practicals to equip the student for the future.

Clothing & Textile Class

The Home Economics department also has Clothing and Textiles where student do practicals and learn how to sew.

School Bus

The school has a bus that shuffles student to and fro events and occasions on campus.
