Obuasi Senior High Technical, formerly known as Government Secondary Technical School, was established in November 1965 as a Boys’ school with an initial enrolment of 33 boys under the Ministry of Education, on land kindly donated by the then Asante Goldfields. Girls were introduced into the school with the inception of the new educational reforms. The School is a Public school established in 1965 and is located at Koffikrom in the Obuasi Municipality
Obuasi Senior High Technical School is a co-educational second-cycle public high school institution in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The school recently reached the quarter-finals of the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition. They have won the Ashanti regional Milo soccer competition in 2005 and 2015
